About me
I am Esmé Bergh, a violinist. I started at a piano at six years old and have not really stopped since, though the violin came much later and took over completely when it did.
Weddings and events are most of my work, across Johannesburg, Pretoria and Greater Vancouver, from a book of more than 3,000 songs. The estimate on this site gives you a figure for your venue before you give me any contact details.
I play weddings, private functions, funerals and church services, restaurants and retirement villages, in Gauteng and in Greater Vancouver. The two countries are not an accident. I lived and worked in Vancouver from 1997 to 2004, so Canada is somewhere I am returning to rather than somewhere I am arriving.
I also play piano and accordion, and I read and arrange, which is why a request I have never played before is a question of time rather than a no.
